When to start looking for a school (UK)

When to start looking for a school (UK)?
My daughter is 18 months old and I wonder when is a good time to start looking for a school for her. Some of my friends started as early as just after first birthday to secure a place in a good school, so I hope I'm not late! :) She doesn't attend nursery or childcare of any kind, my mum looks after her when I'm at work. Thanks for any imput:)

My parents started looking for a school for me when I was 3. It was suggested by my Auntie and the school I got into is one of the best primary schools is my area, possibly in my entire city as well. So as early as possible is fine.

What counts as an appropriate GSCE equivalent when applying to a UK school as a transfer from the US?
I am applying to schools in England for my sophomore year of college. Do they count high school courses usually or just college credits? I will have 16 credits.

Policy is likely to vary between institutions. They will most likely want to know about your educational history since about GCSE age - 16. They will want to know about things like APs. If you're in any doubt contact the institutions you're applying to, or UCAS if you're applying through them.
