What should I pack for a UK boarding school

What should I pack for a UK boarding school?
So basically I'm gonna go to a co-ed boarding school in the UK and it already provides a bed, chest of drawers and all that? But what else should i pack including clothes-wise and toiletry-wise? I basically need all the help i can get as i haven't been given a check list yet!! THANKS!

I suggest you bring a vacuum cleaner, a thermometer (to put on the outside of your window), everything you own. You may think it's over packing, but it's not. At my boarding school my first year I didn't pack anything; and it suffered a lot. I never got to go home and I never really got my clothes back until Thanksgiving vacation. Bring a lot of food, a lot of soup. Toiletry wise, bring a shower basket (to put shampoo, etc in) and everything you do in the morning (teeth, face, etc) Bring wash clothes and towels and bath robes. Towel's including face towels. Bring posters and pictures--it will make your room more desirable to be in. I don't know if it's allowed at your school, but if it is then bring a mini fridge.

It is a hygene issue probably. They want to make sure that the swimsuit you use is used for the pool only, not street wear.

Besides the private schools it's also state schools and public pools and spas. It's for public health and safety and liability rule. Most pools here in Australia now even require you to wear a swim cap also before entering the pool. When you go to school in the UK or in here Australia you have to wear a school uniform when you attend school. At school a swim brief (speedo) is the required swimwear uniform all guys here wear during swimming diving or water polo and surf lifesaving training.

The hygiene issue mentioned is important. The optimal swimwear for swimming (in classes or otherwise) is your own skin and nothing else, however, with situations in some schools where that is not possible the next best thing is the brief swimsuit (speedo type). It provides for the proper coverage of the genitals while allowing the freedom of movement you need for your legs. Boxer style swimwear and board shorts don't allow for that leg movement.

Medical School UK

Medical School UK?
i dont know how the system in the UK works (or scotland..for Edinburgh...i guess theyre the same?) i know in the states u get 4 yrs pre-med, take the MCAT then go into medical school..become an intern, resident then specialize. what about the UK?? can someone help me by explaining the process? thanks!
