I'm applying for schools in england, and i searched the UK Visa website, but it says that if i get a student Visa i can't get a job, and i can't afford to go to college and not work. Is their anyway around this?

Yes... You must have a VISA for you. But... if you want to study in UK and then u have to spend less than a year.

I went to college in the UK... I flew there and they stamped my passport, they didnt care that I was a student. They only wanted me to tell them that I wasn't going to work while there. There were no Visa's involved, I became a resident alien and had to register with the Council and maintain up to date info with them. I also had to carry my greencard with me everywhere. This was in... 1995 - 1996 My advice - call the British embassy in Manhattan and ask, they're lovely people and will be more than happy to provide you with all the info you want. Be safe while there, the UK is a lot of fun.

I'm pretty sure there is a dual Visa but it might involve more paperwork. My aunt is a professor and when she went to study abroad with her students, some of them unknowingly got jobs without getting a working Visa and a student Visa. My aunt did some research and got some of them dual Visa's but that was in France. If there is a help section on their website you should try to check that out.

OF COURSE YOU WILL NEED A VISA..IN FACT WHEN YOU ARRIVED AT THE AIRPORT THERE THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES AND MAKE A FULL REVISION OF YOUR BODY...THEY HAVE BIG RULES THERE AND MAYBE YOU WONT THINK ANYMORE THAT JAMES BOND IS SOMETHING FUNNY..THEY SPY OVER ALL IN UK..THEY HAVE LIKE 4 MILLION CAMERAS IN ALL COUNTRY...SO THINK TWICE WHEN YOU GO TO THE TOILET THERE....

You need a student visa. But I have to tell you to plan yourself very carefully! International students don't get half the opportunities UK citizens get! I know people stressing with student visas, as some universities charges three times the normal amount for tuition fees, and sometimes bursaries are not given to international students! You also need to research what subjects you are doing and what univeristy you plan to settle in! London is way more expensive.But something around the border, like the university of Hertfordshire is completely affordable! But I'm sure that getting job in the UK is not a hard job. When they mean that you can't work, what they mean is that you cant work and not study, but you can work and study at the same time!! Trust me I know loads of people with student visas who are studying and working at the same time! You should also contact some universities and see if they already have students who are working near universities, some universities give you an opportunity to teach younger students for money!!
